Columbus, OH : Three injured in Mt. Healthy crash on Tuesday, 25th October 2016
A two-vehicle crash left three injured Tuesday morning in Mount Healthy, according to police.
Dovae Thomas, 21, was traveling east on Compton Road near Harrison Avenue when she ran a red light, police said. As she traveled through the intersection, Thomas struck 61-year-old Karen Cooman of Loveland.
Police said Cooman drove into the intersection on a green light.
Thomas and a 16-year-old female passenger were taken to the University of Cincinnati Medical Center by the North College Hill and Colerain Township fire departments. Cooman was taken to the Bethesda North Hospital by the Springfield Township Fire Department, police said.
None of the injuries are expected to be life-threatening, police said. A five-year-old male traveling with Thomas was unharmed.
Police said Thomas and her passengers were not wearing seatbelts at the time of the crash, but Cooman was.
Neither speed nor alcohol and drugs were factors in the crash, police said.
Police said Thomas will be cited for a red light and child restraint violations.
