HESPERIA, CA : Motorcyclist dies after head-on crash on Peach on Wednesday, 1st August 2018

Authorities said an Apple Valley man died from injuries he suffered in a head-on crash Wednesday.

The crash occurred on Peach Avenue near Donnert Street at around 11:40 a.m. Wednesday, according to San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department officials, and involved a 2012 Harley-Davidson motorcycle and 2011 Kia sedan.

Hesperia Sheriff’s Station service specialist Edgar Moran said the motorcyclist went into the southbound lane of Peach Avenue, directly into the path of the Kia, “for unknown reasons” as he headed north. The vehicles collided head-on.

“The motorcycle rider flew off his motorcycle approximately 15 feet,” Moran said.
