Topeka, KS : Motorcycle crash in southwest Topeka sends one to hospital near Interstate 470 on Monday, 30th July 2018

One motorcyclist was taken to the hospital after colliding with a red Ford truck on S.W. Burlingame Road Monday night.

Topeka police Sgt. Jay Junghans said shortly after 8 p.m., authorities received a report of a crash involving a motorcycle and a vehicle near Interstate 470. Junghans said a red Ford truck was stopped at the traffic light at the intersection of I-470 and S.W. Burlingame Road when the motorcycle, which was traveling north, clipped the back of the truck.

Junghans said the cause of the collision was still under investigation, but the motorcyclist fell off his bike. The man was transported to Stormant Vail Hospital, but is believed to have injuries that aren’t life threatening. The motorcyclist was wearing a helmet at the time.
