Jacksonville, FL : 3 injured in crash near Regency Square mall on Sunday, 22nd July 2018

Three people are in life-threatening condition following a two-car crash in front of Jacksonville’s Regency Square mall, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office.

Police said a compact Nissan Juke was attempting to make a left turn into the mall from eastbound Arlington Expressway about 7 p.m. That is when a larger westbound Ford Explorer ran the red light and hit it in the right front side.

“This caused the larger SUV to flip and roll,” Sgt. Steve Mullen said. “The passenger in the smaller car was ejected.”

Mike Baker drove up on the scene as the crash was ending. He said he ran to help the victims, identified by police as one woman in the Nissan and a man and a woman in the Explorer.
