Tonganoxie, KS : Two Kansas drivers dead in head-on collision in rural Leavenworth County on Monday evening, August 18, 2014

Authorities say two people have died in a three-vehicle accident in northeast Kansas. The Kansas Highway Patrol says the wreck occurred Monday evening in rural Leavenworth County. Troopers say a westbound driver sideswiped an eastbound vehicle before veering into oncoming traffic. They say that vehicle hit another head-on and both drivers were killed. Troopers say the eastbound driver was wearing a seat belt but the westbound driver was not. The condition of the third driver is unknown. Troopers haven't released the names of the people killed.
