FORT WORTH, TX : A man died after being extricated from his vehicle following a multi-vehicle wreck on Monday, May 29, 2017

A man died after being extricated from his vehicle following a multi-vehicle wreck on the Northeast Loop Monday.

Police responded to calls about the multi-vehicle collision about 11:55 a.m. The wreck occurred in the eastbound lanes of the 2000 block of Northeast Loop 820 near Mark IV Parkway, a news release from Fort Worth police said.

Police saw Shannon Allsup, 52, of Fort Worth, was trapped in his vehicle and he was extricated by first responders. Allsup was transported to John Peter Smith Hospital where he was later pronounced dead about 12:35 p.m., according to the Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office.
