A 70-year-old Punta Gorda man died Monday in a Lee County crash, following a medical episode, the Florida Highway Patrol reported.

Steven A. Pavliak, of Punta Gorda, was driving a 2002 Ford E150 van south on Interstate 75 just south of Luckett Road. In the center lane, Pavliak lost control of his vehicle due to a medical episode, FHP stated in a press release.
