Authorities say a Lincoln County road crew member died when his dump truck left the road, hit a tree and caught fire. Sheriff Steve Rushing tells The Clarion-Ledger that the accident occurred just before 11 a.m. Monday on Calvary Road near Bogue Chitto (BOH'-guh CHIT'-uh). Deputy Coroner John Riggs declined to identify since some family may not have been notified. He says the body has been sent to the State Crime Lab for autopsy.
