Commerce, GA : Commerce teen injured in ATV crash on Tuesday, 18th June 2019

Commerce teen was injured Tuesday when the four-wheeler he was a passenger on collided with a pickup truck, according to the Georgia State Patrol.

The wreck occurred at about 5:15 p.m. on Woods Bridge Road near the Dennis Drive intersection outside Commerce, according to troopers.

Troopers said the Honda ATV failed to yield the right of way as it made a left turn onto Dennis Drive. The Toyota Tundra pickup driver told troopers he tried to avoid the collisions and drove off the right side of the road, but the ATV steered back toward the road and the pickup struck the rear of the ATV, according to the report.

The ATV driver, a 20-year-old Commerce man, and the pickup driver from Jefferson, were not injured. The ATV passenger, Colton Decker of Commerce, was transported by ambulance to a hospital in Gainesville with non-life threatening injuries.
