WEST FARGO, ND : Car crashes into bridge after high-speed chase on Monday, February 27th 2017
A car crashed into a bridge after a high-speed chase in Cass County early Monday, Feb. 27.
The chase started around 1:45 a.m. when a West Fargo police officer noticed a car had a light out and tried to pull it over.The chase went on I-94 and reached speeds over 85 miles per hour.
Authorities said they eventually found the car in the ditch near mile marker 342.
West Fargo police first found the passenger, 22-year-old Christopher Wilkie of Fargo, running away from the crash. Wilkie told authorities the woman driver ran away, prompting a police K-9 search. They found 23-year-old Abbey Rose Brooks-Derzay.
Brooks-Derzay was arrested for fleeing in a motor vehicle, reckless driving, leaving the scene of an injury accident, possession of drug paraphernalia and outstanding warrants.
