Chanute, KS : A Fredonia man was killed and another injured in a one-vehicle crash on Saturday, January, 13th 2018

A Fredonia man was killed and another injured in a one-vehicle crash east of Fredonia early Saturday.

The Kansas Highway Patrol reported Danny Riddle, 25, Fredonia, was killed when a 1996 Toyota driven by Colby Lane, 21, became airborne and struck an embankment.

The accident at 12:01 am Saturday ejected both Riddle and Lane.

The Toyota was westbound on K-47 2½ miles east of the junction of K-47 and US-400 when it veered left of center, entered the south ditch and went airborne.

Lane was transported to Fredonia Regional Hospital and Riddle was taken to Frontier Forensics.

The KHP reported neither man was wearing a safety restraint.
