Three women were injured in an accident involving a car that collided with a telephone pole Tuesday night in front of Gander’s restaurant.
The accident happened about 7 p.m. at the eatery, 4219 Luna Pier Rd. All three people were from Luna Pier and suffered minor injuries, said Luna Pier Volunteer Fire Department Chief Bob Dinius. They were among five

people in a Honda Pilot.
Monroe Community Ambulance took two of the injured to the hospital, while the mother of one of the other victims took her to the hospital for treatment, Chief Dinius said.
The Pilot was exiting the restaurant parking lot when the vehicle drove over a curb and struck the pole and a speed limit sign, knocking it down. The sign was put back up within minutes after the crash.
The Monroe County Sheriff’s Office investigated the accident.
