SCHUYLKILL HAVEN, PA : Girl, 8, dies following ATV crash in Schuylkill Haven on June, Saturday 24th 2017

State police at Schuylkill Haven are investigating a fatal ATV accident near Manheim Township.
A 38-year-old man was riding an ATV along a railroad bed with his 8-year-old daughter Saturday. Around 9:18 p.m. the ATV hit a downed telephone pole that laid across the railroad bed, causing the ATV to flip at least one time. Deputy Coroner Albert Barnes responded and pronounced the girl dead at the scene.
The man was transported to Lehigh Valley Hospital Cedar Crest with moderate injuries. Neither he nor his daughter were wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.
Auburn Fire Police, Auburn Ambulance and Pottsville EMS also responded.
