GREENWICH TWP, PA : Multiple crashes cause major traffic problems on I-78, surrounding roads in Berkson Thursday, 20th June 2019

Several accidents and heavy rain are causing major traffic issues for drivers in Berks and Lehigh counties Thursday morning.

A tractor-trailer crash and fire was reported on I-78 near the Lenhartsville exit around 4 a.m. The wreck closed part of the highway and led to more issues on surrounding detours.

Interstate 78 is completely closed between Lenhartsville/Exit 35 and Krumsville/Exit 40.

In Berks County, I-78 eastbound is closed at Strausstown/Exit 19. In Lehigh County, the westbound lanes are closed at Route 100.
