CABARRUS COUNTY, NC : I-85 reopens in Cabarrus County on Monday, July 31, 2017

A portion of I-85 was closed for several hours in Cabarrus County Monday afternoon due to an overturned tractor trailer.
The crash happened around 3 p.m. on southbound I-85 near Mile Marker 58, just south of Exit 60 to Dale Earnhardt Blvd. According to officials, 50 gallons of diesel fuel leaked from the truck.
The NCDOT said all lanes were closed while crews worked to clean up the scene. The road reopened just before 6 p.m., but heavy congestion remained for some time.
Officials have not said if any injuries were reported.
Troopers have not said what caused the crash or if any charges are being filed.
