AUSTIN, TX : 22-year-old arrested for DWI after pedestrians killed in North Austin crash on Saturday, 24th August 2024

The Austin Police Department (APD) is investigating the city's 57th deadly crash of the year after two people were killed last week in North Austin.

APD said officers responded to a crash at roughly 2:26 a.m. on Aug. 24, in the 6500 block of North Lamar Boulevard. APD said the crash involved 22-year-old driver Edward Rodriguez and two pedestrians.
