RIDGE MANOR, FL : Injuries reported in crash at Hernando County intersection on Monday, 5th February 2024

Drivers are asked to avoid a stretch of a busy Hernando County highway following a serious crash involving injuries, authorities said.

It happened Monday afternoon at the intersection of Cortez Boulevard and Kettering Road, the Hernando County Sheriff's Office posted on X.

Several cars are said to be involved in the crash, and injuries are reported. One person was airlifted from the scene as a trauma patient, Hernando County Fire Rescue confirmed.
