Durant,OK : Motorcycle crash seriously injures man on June, Friday 9th 2017

injured Thursday afternoon during an accident on Highway 70 and Mead.

Seventy-five-year-old Jan W. Newton, who was riding a motorcycle, was flown to Plano Medical Center where he was listed in serious condition with head and internal injuries.

According to OHP, Newton was westbound on Highway 70 when a pickup driven by 73-year-old Kenneth Shepherd of Whitewright, Texas, turned left into the path of Newton’s motorcycle. Shepherd and a passenger, 74-year-old Calvin D. Ramsey of Van Alstyne, Texas, were not injured. Newton was not wearing a helmet.
