A 24-year-old Providence, Utah, resident died in a one-vehicle rollover Friday afternoon on U.S. Highway 91 near Preston, according to a news release from Idaho State Police.
Julie Cook was dead at the scene of the crash, which state police investigated starting about 4:30 p.m.
The crash happened when James Cook, 53, of Providence, was driving a 2001 Ford F-250 pickup north on Highway 91.
Cook was towing a fifth-wheel camper trailer and a utility trailer. Cook lost control of the vehicle and the trailers. The pickup then went over the guardrail and rolled down a steep embankment.
James Cook and his other passengers, Debra Cook, 51, and Blaine Cook, 21, both of Providence, were taken by ground ambulance to Franklin County Medical Center in Preston.
All occupants of the vehicle were wearing seat belts. The road was completely blocked for about 5 and a half hours.
The crash is still under investigation.
