El Dorado,AR : Junction City man killed in wreck on Highway 167 on August, Thursday 31th 2017

A Junction City man was pronounced dead after a car crash on Highway 167, south of El Dorado, on Thursday.

Calen Summerville, 21, of Junction City, was pronounced dead at the scene after colliding with a semitrailer.

According to the preliminary fatal crash summary on the Arkansas state police website, at 5:55 a.m. Thursday, Summerville was headed south on the Junction City Highway when his vehicle crossed over the center line into the path of a semitrailer. The semitrailer then collided with Summerville's vehicle in the northbound lane.

The reported did not specify how Summerville ended up in the northbound lane and a police representative was unable to specify.

Summerville was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident by Union County Coroner Curtis Butterfield.

Malcolm Braggs, the driver of the semitrailer, 53, of Ruston, Louisiana was treated for his injuries at the Medical Center of South Arkansas.
