Meridian Twp., MI : Driver injured in rollover crash on Central Park Drive on Monday afternoon, May 9, 2016

One person was taken to a local hospital after a rollover crash this afternoon on Central Park Drive.

Assistant Meridian Township police Chief Ken Plaga said speed was a factor in the 1:30 p.m. crash, which caused police to close part of Central Park for a short time.

The male driver was northbound on Central Park from Grand River Avenue when he lost control on a curved section of the road, Plaga said. The car came to rest on its roof about 20 feet off the road.

The driver's name and age were not released. He suffered non-life-threatening injuries, Plaga said.
