Chicago, IL : Man killed in crash with school bus on West Side on Sunday morning, November 6, 2016
A 59-year-old man was killed in a crash with a school bus Sunday morning in the West Garfield Park neighborhood.
Frank Davis Jr. was driving in the 3800 block of West Congress Parkway at 7:45 a.m. when his vehicle struck a private school bus, according to Chicago Police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office.
Davis was taken to Stroger Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 8:32 a.m., according to the medical examiner’s office. He lived in the 5700 block of South May.
The bus driver and a 3-year-old girl on the bus were picked up by someone driving by the scene and taken to a hospital, police said. Their conditions weren’t known.
The police Major Accidents Investigation Unit is handling the case.
