A man is in jail after a chase that ended in a crash on Friday night. The Knox County Sheriff's Office tried to stop a Red Mercury at around 8:32 in the afternoon. The driver of the Mercury fled from Reed Street and Baxter Avenue to 275. When the car tried to exit onto I-40, the vehicle crashed into an embankment. Four people were in the vehicle and two complained of minor injuries and were checked by Rural Metro on the scene. No one was taken to the hospital.
