Fenton, MI : No injuries after semi truck crash on US 23 in Fenton on Thursday, 26th December, 2019
A stretch of U.S. 23 in Fenton was closed after a semi-truck crashed into a bridge Thursday afternoon.
According to Fenton Fire Department Deputy Chief Ed Hadfield, the accident happened at 1:28 p.m. A semi truck was traveling southbound on the freeway when the driver went off the road, drove on the embankment and hit the Owen Road bridge. The crash caused the semi to catch on fire.
Hadfield said the driver, whose name has not been released, only has minor injuries. No other drivers were injured.
It is unknown if alcohol played a factor in the crash.
