RICHLAND COUNTY, SC : Pedestrian dies following collision on Leesburg Road on Tuesday, 16th February 2021

One person has been killed following a collision on Leesburg Road near Patterson Street.

The accident occurred on February 15 around 4:15 p.m.

Officials say a vehicle was traveling west on Leesburg Road when it struck a pedestrian trying to cross the road.

The pedestrian was transported from the scene to an area hospital where they later died. The identity of the deceased is unknown at this time.

The driver of the vehicle did not suffer any injuries.
