San Tan Valley,AZ : Pinal County deputies investigate deadly hit-and-run on December, Thursday 28th 2017
Authorities say a deadly hit-and-run that temporarily shut down a highway in Pinal County involved a Johnson Utilities employee.
Authorities released more information Thursday, saying a woman had been struck along the Hunt Highway in the San Tan Valley area.
They were asking the public for help in identifying her. The woman was last seen buying coffee at a nearby gas station before she was killed.
The Pinal County Sheriff’s Office says two people initially called to report finding a body along the highway.
Authorities say they later determined that the driver was a Johnson Utilities employee who was in a company vehicle at the time of the accident. They say after the crash, the employee texted his supervisor claiming he hit a barricade and the car was damaged.
