Oberlin, LA : Mamou man killed in single car crash on Highway 26 east of Oberlin Sunday morning, Oct 18, 2015

A single-vehicle crash has claimed the life of a 25-year-old Mamou man

State police Sgt. James Anderson said in a news release that car driven by Cody Hammon was eastbound on Louisiana Highway 26 east of Oberlin Sunday morning when his car ran off the road and struck a tree.

Anderson says Hammon was not wearing a seat belt and was ejected through the windshield. He says Hammon was pronounced dead at the scene.
