Pasadena, TX : Woman dies in crash on US 290 after exiting moving car in northwest Harris County on Sunday night, March 12, 2017

A woman is dead after she exited a moving car Sunday night in northwest Harris County.
Renesha Smith was sitting in the passenger seat of a black Ford F-150, traveling eastbound around 9:30 p.m. on US 290.
Near the 25500 block of the highway, she fought with the driver of the car, Jeremy Crow, and tried to jump out of the vehicle, according to a press release from the Harris County Sheriff's Office.
Crow initially attempted to keep Smith inside of the car. But what happened next gets murky. Deputies aren't sure if Smith ultimately fell out of the vehicle because of her attempts to jump out of it or if she was ejected in some other way.
Crow's car swerved and rammed the front of the Ford into the center concrete divider on the highway.
Deputies found Smith dead on the scene. Crow was transported to Memorial Hermann Hospital. He shows signs of impairment, according to the sheriff's office.
