Lake County, FL : 5-year-old child was dead in a crash on U.S. 27 and Plantation Boulevard on Saturday afternoon October 18th 2014

A 5-year-old child was killed in a crash in Lake County Saturday, according to the Florida Highway Patrol. Troopers said the crash happened just before 4 p.m. on U.S. 27 and Plantation Boulevard in Leesburg. Troopers said the truck slammed into the back of a car with a family of three inside. A 5-year-old boy was flown to Arnold Palmer Hospital, where he later died. His parents were flown to Orlando Regional Medical Center as trauma alerts. The victims have not been identified.
