Joplin, MO : A Granby boy died after a one-vehicle accident on Saturday, 3rd March 2018
A Granby boy died after a one-vehicle accident on private property 4 miles east of Diamond in Newton County, the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported.
At 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Bailey C. Moore, 7, was driving a Polaris RZR in the yard and attempting to turn when the vehicle overturned, ejecting him.
Moore was taken to Freeman Health System in Joplin with serious injuries. He was pronounced dead early Sunday at Mercy Children's Hospital in Kansas City, Missouri, the patrol said.
• An Aurora woman was injured in a one-vehicle crash at 4:40 p.m. Saturday in Miller in Lawrence County, the patrol said.
Janet A. Higgins, 57, was taken to Mercy Hospital Springfield with minor injuries.
She was attempting to park on Main Street when her car ran off the road and struck a building, the patrol said.
• A Granby man was injured at 8:30 p.m. Saturday on Route J, 2 miles east of Diamond in Newton County, the patrol said.
Avery L. Williams, 37, was taken to Mercy Hospital Joplin with minor injuries.
Williams was westbound the fire engine he was driving ran off the road and struck a culvert, the patrol said.
