Lexington County ,SC : Two people killed in crash after SUV ran off the road and overturned in a pond on Monday night ,March 16th 2015

Two people are dead following an accident in Lexington County, according to the South Carolina Highway Patrol.

The Lexington County Coroner's Office has identified the pair as Lee Travis Rea, 21, and Evan Davis Tyler, 19. Both were pronounced dead at the scene

The Highway Patrol says the pair died after the SUV they were in ran off the road and overturned in a pond. It happened just before 11 p.m. on Steele Road near Dacus Lane in West Columbia.

Troopers say the driver and the passenger were wearing seatbelts.

An investigation into this crash continues.
