A single-vehicle crash in Bucks County that split a Honda Civic in half claimed the life of a Coopersburg man, according to Pennsylvania State Police.
Authorities say Phillip Calabrette, 28, was driving east in a Honda Civic on State Road in Springfield Township at 4:38 a.m. Sunday when the car left the lane. Police say Calabrette's car struck a large tree just off the eastbound shoulder of the road with enough force to sever the vehicle.
Authorities say they do not know whether Calabrette was wearing a seatbelt.
