Tuscaloosa, AL : Two killed in separate crashes on Thursday, 6th October 2016
Alabama State Troopers have released the names of two Demopolis men who were killed in separate, unrelated vehicle crashes.
Harold Lee Johnson, 60, was the passenger in a truck that left the roadway and overturned in Marengo County. Johnson, of Demopolis, wasn't wearing a seat belt and died after he was thrown from the vehicle, said Alabama Law Enforcement Agency Senior Trooper Reginal King. Driver Glenn Lewis, 51, and another passenger were treated for injuries at a nearby hospital, King said. The crash happened at 2:45 p.m. Thursday on U.S. Highway 43 near the 130 mile marker, three miles south of Demopolis and remains under investigation.
Milando Willie Denzel Merriweather, 19, was killed in a crash on Alabama Highway 69 near Greensboro early Friday morning. Milando was driving a 1997 Ford Ranger that left the roadway and overturned, King said. He was not wearing a seat belt, was thrown from the vehicle and died at the scene. The crash happened near the 114 mile marker, four miles north of Greensboro and remains under investigation.
