North Platte, NE : No one hurt in collision at unmarked intersection on Wednesday, March 22nd 2017

A Kia Sportage and a Chevrolet 1500 pickup collided at the intersection of Maple and 10th Streets on Wednesday afternoon.

“The silver pickup was eastbound on 10th and the Kia was southbound on Maple and they collided in the intersection,” said Sgt. Gary Hovey. “The driver of the Kia suffered a minor injury but was not transported.”

A North Platte Fire Department ambulance responded to the accident.

The intersection is unmarked and Hovey said accidents like this happen a lot.

“Like any unmarked intersection, you need to approach with caution,” Hovey said. “Always yield to the person on the right.”

Hovey said it was reported that all occupants of both vehicles were wearing seat belts.
