Woman dies in accident on Gibson Island Maryland

A Germantown woman died Tuesday after she drove her car the wrong way on Interstate 270 and hit another car.Erica Choi, 25, was driving a 2011 Honda Accord south on the northbound lanes of I-270 at 11:27 p.m., according to Maryland State Police. Her car struck a Mercedes SUV driven by 38-year-old Lai Fung Lam of Clarksburg.Choi died in the accident and Lam was taken to Suburban Hospital with serious injuries. All northbound lanes and two southbound lanes were closed for about four hours following the accident, according to police.Maryland troopers are continuing to investigate the crash.
