Fort Wayne, IN : A 25-year-old Fort Wayne man died when his motorcycle collided on Friday, June 9, 2017

A 25-year-old Fort Wayne man died when his motorcycle collided with a Chevrolet Impala at Ohio and Eliza streets at 4:55 p.m. Friday.

The motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene by medics. The driver of the car was not hurt.

A Fort Wayne police officer at the scene said the motorcycle was traveling south on Ohio and the Impala was heading west on Eliza when the accident occurred. Witnesses told officers that the motorcyclist was driving at a high rate of speed.

The investigation of the crash is ongoing.
