Amber Township, MI : 60-year-old Ludington woman injured after one-car rollover crash on Hansen Road Saturday morning, May 7, 2016

A 60-year-old Ludington woman was airlifted following a crash just after midnight this morning. According to Mason County Sheriff's Office deputies at the scene, the woman was eastbound on Hansen Road between Dennis Road and Victory Corner when she lost control of the vehicle, which then overturned multiple times before going over a guardrail and down an embankment on the north side of the road. She was ejected during the crash and told responders she had no feeling in one leg.

Scottville first responders and the Ludington JAWS unit freed the woman from trees near the vehicle's wreckage and Life EMS transported her to a waiting helicopter. It is not known which hospital she was flown to, although Spectrum Health Butterworth Hospital receives most of the accident victims from this area.

The Pere Marquette Fire Department ladder truck was expected to be called in to aid in the crash investigation. A deputy estimated the road would be closed for about two hours as they examined areas of the shoulder and marks on the guardrail indicating where the woman's car traveled before coming to rest about 30 feet down an embankment.
