Gustine, CA : Two people killed in head-on collision on Ingomar Grade Road near Gustine on Monday morning, March 21, 2016

A Newman woman was one of two people killed Monday morning in a two-vehicle accident between Gustine and Volta, according to California Highway Patrol reports.
Sergeant Jesse Lopez of the Los Banos Area CHP identified the victims as Louise Kaster, 54, of Newman, and Esteban Arellano, 32, of Los Banos.
Lopez said the accident occurred at 7 a.m. on Ingomar Grade Road south of Hearst Road when Arellano, driving northbound in a 1993 Nissan Sentra, crossed the center line for unknown reasons and collided head-on with a 2012 Ford Focus driven southbound by Kaster.
Lopez said both drivers were pronounced dead at the scene.
Each was alone in the vehicle they were driving.
Lopez said the accident remains under investigation.
