INDIANAPOLIS, IN : Decatur Twp teacher critically injured in car crash right outside high school on Monday, 18th November 2024

A Decatur Central High School teacher was hurt in a car accident Monday morning that school officials say happened just outside the building.

Online police reports show just before 8 a.m., Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department officers were called to assist with an accident with injuries near the intersection of Kentucky Avenue and South High School Road.

There, they found a white semi-trailer that had struck a blue pickup truck resting in the green space outside the school.

The pickup driver was rushed to Eskenazi in critical condition. The truck driver was taken to a hospital for a blood draw, which is Indiana standard when there are serious or fatal accidents.
