JOHNSTON, OH : A man died in a single-vehicle crash on Sunday, July 2, 2017
A man died in a single-vehicle crash just before 2 p.m. Sunday on state Route 11 in Johnston, according to Lt. Brian Holt of the Warren post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
The man, Joseph Colicchie, 60, of McDonald, Pa., was a passenger in a 2010 Chevrolet Silverado traveling south, a news release from the patrol states. Colicchie died at the scene.
The truck drove off the right side of the road and hit several trees before coming to a stop, according to the patrol.
Ronald Tarquino, 60, of McDonald, Pa., was the driver and received âsevere injuries,ã the release states. Tarquino was taken to St. Elizabeth Youngstown Hospital.
Southbound lanes were shut down while a medical helicopter landed on the highway, the report states.
The patrol is investigating the crash. Johnston police and fire departments assisted at the scene.
