A Jacksonville Police Department officer involved in a crash Monday has an estimated $10,000 worth of damage to the patrol car.
Officer Ennio Giusti, 31, was attempting to make a left turn off Marine Blvd. on to Sherwood Drive near Dunkin Donuts at 8:25 a.m., according to Highway Patrol.
The inside travel lane stopped to allow him to cross but the outside lane did not, according to Highway Patrol, and a 2003 Mercury driven by Edward Watson, 38, of Swansboro, crashed into the patrol car.
The force of the hit rotated the patrol car and caused it to hit a 2017 Ford driven by Mat Raymond III, 44, of Jacksonville, according to Highway Patrol.
The crash report did not say whether Giusti was using his lights or sirens at the time of the crash.
Giusti went to Onslow Memorial Hospital in a private vehicle, according to Highway Patrol, and Watson and his two passengers, John Robesky, of Statesville, and Rodney Bellamy, of Rougemont, were all transported to the hospital by EMS.
No one had life-threatening injuries, according to the report.
The patrol car has an estimated $10,000 in damages and the other two vehicles have an estimated $4,000 of damages each, according to Highway Patrol.
No one was charged, according to Highway Patrol.
