A Crestview man is hospitalized in critical condition following a motorcycle accident Saturday night in Bay County.
According to a Florida Highway Patrol press release, Scott Michael Insley, 46, was riding among a group of four motorcycles when he lost control in the 6:35 p.m. accident.
FHP noted in the release that Insley was operating a 1988 Harley-Davidson Street G on State Road 30 near Holley Lane when he failed to reduce speed for a right-hand turn.
The motorcycle then slid into the rear of a 2006 Harley Super Glide operated by 30-year-old Jonathan C. Price of Crestview. The impact from the collision ejected Insley from his Harley. He was found by first responders on his back in the middle of the roadway.
Insley was wearing a helmet and was listed Sunday morning in critical condition at Bay Medical Sacred Heart in Panama City.
Price was not injured in the collision.
FHP noted in the release charges are pending investigation.
