Torrance, CA : A driver killed in a weekend collision in Carson on Wednesday, November, 8th 2017

A driver killed in a weekend collision that took the lives of two brothers in Carson was identified Wednesday as 21-year-old Luis Ariel Olmedo, authorities said.

Olmedo died at a hospital shortly after the 2:20 a.m. crash Sunday at Del Amo and Avalon boulevards. Records show he lived nearby on Avalon Boulevard in Carson.

The crash also killed Jonathan Isaiah Baxter, 23, and Christopher Wayne Baxter, 26, both of Carson. The Baxter brothers were in the other vehicle.

Carson sheriff’s deputies were continuing to investigate the collision. The circumstances of the crash have yet to be explained, but investigators did not respond Wednesday to a request for the latest information on the collision.
