Oak Ridge, TN : Local man killed in crash; vehicle hit parked car, house in the Heiskell area Monday night, November 14, 2016

A 25-year-old Oak Ridge man was killed in a motor vehicle crash Monday night in the Heiskell area of Anderson County. The vehicle he was in reportedly overturned onto a parked vehicle and a house.

Albert W. Brown, a passenger in a vehicle driven by 52-year-old Mark E. Floer, of Heiskell, died in the 10:45 p.m. accident, according to a Tennessee Highway Patrol report. The accident happened at 1249 E. Wolf Valley Road.

According to the THP, a 2001 Audi driven by Floer was traveling east on East Wolf Valley Road when it left the right side of the road and struck two tree stumps before overturning onto a parked 1998 Ford Escape and a house.

The trooper stated in the report that neither Floer or Brown were wearing seatbelts and both were believed to have been drinking. Tests were to be done on the two.

Floer was injured in the crash, but the THP report didn't indicate what type or the seriousness of his injuries. Mark Lucas, Anderson County Sheriff's Department chief deputy, stated in an email that Floer was taken to the University of Tennessee Medical Center in Knoxville for treatment of his injuries.
