Salem, OR : SUV that crashes into Salem laundromat on Sunday evening. February 1, 2015

An SUV crashed into a woman sitting on a bench outside a Salem laundromat Sunday evening, pinning the woman underneath the vehicle.

Firefighters managed to pull the woman out from under the SUV and she woman was taken to the hospital. Officials said she was stable when she left the scene outside the EZ Laundry off Commercial Street Southeast.

Salem Police said the driver, a man in his 20s, lost control of his recently-purchased vehicle before jumping the curb at around 7 p.m. Sunday.

He was cited for careless driving, officials said.
