A California Highway Patrol officer suffered minor injuries when his squad car was T-boned by another vehicle in Panorama City, police said Monday.
The CHP officer was turning from a 405 Freeway off-ramp onto Roscoe Boulevard when he was struck by a black Lexus LS 400 around 7:30 p.m. Sunday, said Sgt. Bill Kelly of the Los Angeles Police Department's Valley Traffic Division.
The officer was transported to a hospital to be treated for minor abrasions and a hip contusion, Kelly said. The man who drove the Lexus had minor abrasions but refused treatment.
The incident was under investigation, Kelly said, adding that upon preliminary investigation the officer appeared to have had the right of way.
