Phoenix, AZ : Man killed, boy injured after being struck while crossing a street in north Phoenix early Sunday afternoon, November 27, 2016

Police say a man has died and a 12-year-old boy is in critical condition after being struck while crossing a street in north Phoenix.

Phoenix police say the man appears to be 50 years old and was fatally struck while crossing 19th and Northern avenues. The driver of the vehicle remained on scene and is not believed to have been impaired.

The man and boy were walking at a crosswalk but had the red light.

Police continue to investigate and the intersection is restricted.
