Police say a 26-year-old woman is dead after she crashed her car into a tree on Long Island.
The accident happened at 8:15 a.m. Saturday in Center Moriches.
Suffolk County detectives say Erin Reed was driving south on Wading River Road when she veered off the road and hit a tree.
Reed was taken to a hospital, where she was pronounced dead.
Police are investigating the accident.
