Manatee County, FL : Bradenton man died in a three-car crash in Verna Bethany Road on Friday January 29 2016

A Bradenton man died in a three-car crash Friday afternoon on Verna Bethany Road.
According to a report from the Florida Highway Patrol.At about 2 p.m., Donald Plummer, 58, of Bradenton was driving a 1997 Chevy van north in the 6400 block of Verna Bethany Road.
He slowed down for a bicyclist also traveling northbound, and a 2016 Ford Fusion driven by Jessica Rodriguez, 23, of Myakka City failed to observe that the van in front of her had slowed down.
Rodriguez's car collided with the rear of Plummer's vehicle, pushing it into the southbound lanes where collided with a 2011 Ford F350 truck driven by Weston Soria, 38, of Arcadia.
Plummer was pronounced dead at the scene. Rodriguez was not injured, but a 3-year-old girl in her car was taken to Lakewood Ranch Medical Center with minor injuries.
