Warsaw, IN : Bremen man killed in single-vehicle crash in Kosciusko County on Tuesday afternoon, August 2, 2016

A Bremen man died Tuesday afternoon in a single-vehicle crash in Kosciusko County.

According to Kosciusko County Sherriff’s Department, Dustin W. Cullen, 34, Bremen, was traveling east on U.S. 30 in a red, 1993 Jeep Wrangler near the intersection of U.S. 30 and C.R. 200 West, approaching stopped or slowed traffic resulting from a construction zone west of Warsaw.

From the evidence at the scene and witness statements, police said Cullen swerved suddenly to his right to avoid striking the stopped vehicles directly in his path.

Cullen then allegedly lost control of his vehicle, it began to roll down an embankment area and came to a rest on its top, pinning him. He was wearing his seat belt at the time of the crash.

Police and emergency personnel arrived at the scene at approximately 1:21 p.m. Attempts to perform CPR on the driver were unsuccessful. Kosciusko County Coroner Anthony Ciriello was summoned to the scene and pronounced Cullen dead as a result of blunt force trauma.

Police said the crash is still under investigation.
